Production Update June 2025
Production times vary based on the size of the bookcase. Lead times are the longest for the 70"H and 82"H cases due to wood yield.
Bookcases Under 46"H aprroximately 4-6 weeks.
Bookcases 58"H, 70"H and 82"H: a minimum of 24 weeks, and can be significantly longer. Lead times on the taller heigts are based upon how many part blanks the wood cuttings yield.
CD/DVD/Paperback Bookcases: Indefinitely unavailable. Our mills aren't making the size panels we use for these, and we don't have a timeline of when/if we'll get our next shipment of wood for them. Consider our 9.25"D units as an alternative. They are styled the same, but are deeper and will hold most books as well as media.
Custom Sizing: Due to lack of staffing, custom sizing is no longer available.
Shipping
Updated February 2024:
Free Shipping by FedEx Ground or FedEx Home Delivery on most bookcases 46"H and under and that weigh under 45 pounds. The 30x46x12 and 36x46x12 do incur the FedEx AHS charges and have a fixed shipping cost surchage. The fixed shipping price of $79 for 58"H, 70"H, 82"H and items over 46 pounds is highly subsidised by us, and includes the $55 Additional Handling Fee, Residential/Extended Area surcharge(s), and fuel surcharge(s), and any other ridiculous and absurd fee that FedEx charges to run the bill up. Our shipping costs have more than doubled the past 5 years, and there is no such thing as "free shipping". All shipping costs a small fortune, and those costs rise double digits year over year.
Once your order is shipped transit time is 1-5 days. States east of the Missippi River are typical delivered in 1-3 days, and states west of the Missippi River are typically delivered in 3-5 days. If you're in a remote rural area that may add a day or two.
Tracking numbers are uploaded to your order detail page on your account on our website upon shipment, and we also have FedEx directly email you tracking/shipment information as well. It may take up to 24 hours for tracking information (including estimated delivery date) to proprogate in their system.
Please check your tracking information for a delivery date. While you don't have to be home or sign for the delivery, FedEx insurance doesn't cover theft after delivery. If you live in a area with lots of foot traffic it would be best if you could have a neighbor take your shipment in for you, or have it delivered to a work address if possible. FedEx also provides you the option of having them hold your shipment, or they can deliver it to your local FedEx/Kinkos location for your pickup.
We can also offer Saturday deliveries using FedEx Home service for most items if you would prefer to be home at the time of delivery. FedEx Home also offers appointment based deliveries for an upcharge. Please contact us for more details.
Returns/Cancellation Policy

Due to the astronomical rise in the cost of wood, packaging, and shipping costs, all sales are final and returns are not accepted. The cost of two way freight would exceed the cost of the item. We do stand behind our quality and workmanship and will make sure your order arrives safely. In the event a part is damged during transit we will send you a free replacement regardsless of whether FedEx pays the damage claim. We will ask for a few photos to aid us in the claim process, but we will take care of that for you.
Orders may be cancelled anytime prior to shipment. Refund is issued by store credit, gift card, or exchage only, no exceptions whatsoever. Once we order your materials and begin production none of our expenses we've incurred are refundable to us. Once we procure materials to produce an order, we are under obligation to purchase these materials at the current price-gouged market price. Our wood comes from Finland and is subject to tariff and political whims of the current administration, and are also subject to special section 232 tariff laws investigations and most likely will significantly increase.
